file_base_name(+File, -Name)

Extracts the file name part from name that may include directories. Similar to file_directory_name/2 the extraction is based on the regex /*([^/]*)/*$, now capturing the non-/ segment. If the segment is empty it unifies -Name with / if File starts with / and the empty atom ('') otherwise. The behaviour is consistent with the POSIX basename program.^{157Before
